Psarades

Psarades village is 60 km far from Florina and is built in 850 m. Altitude. It has 100 permanent residents and during the summer months grow. Their main occupation is fishing, farming and tourism.

Psarades is the only Greek settlement on the shores of Prespa and has been declared a traditional settlement, which is evident from the houses that maintain the features of the respective houses of the time were built.

Big Prespa lake covers an area of 272 square kilometers. and has a depth of 55m. This has seen rich fish fauna (18 species) and many species of rare birds (pelicans, herons, pygmy, cormorants).
Moreover, there are slopes with mixed forests of cedar, oak, fragments. All this can be enjoyed one of the top Devas and Roti capes, Stoki and Ag. Nicholas.

The cedar forest in the chapel of St. George on the way to Fisherman fits the core of the Prespa National Park, protected by the Ramsar treaty.

From Psarades you can visit by boat the hermitages of the Virgin Eleousa, the Ascension and the Transfiguration, located on the shores of Great Prespa. Additionally, the route we can admire the vrachografies Panagia Eleousa and Mary Vlachernitisas.
